Empowering and Emerging – Technologies, Talent and New Opportunities

Exploring opportunities for Women in Operations

Every day and ever more rapidly we are exposed to new technologies – Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, IoT (Internet of Things), digitisation of the supply chain. Welcome to Industry 4.0 and the interconnection of our professional and personal worlds!

But what does it all mean? And what opportunities is it creating for women in operations?

Join NAWO, Asahi Beverages, PATH4 Graduates and a panel of experts as we tackle the difficult questions:

  • What are the emerging trends and challenges?
  • How prepared are you and your company to embrace the reality of the future?
  • What does workforce reskilling look like for those well progressed in their careers?

How are we engaging school leavers into STEM and early career women into the operations industry?

Featuring Project ‘i’ – an undergraduate intern program that is providing talented female undergraduates with practical workplace experience in operational industries they may never have previously considered – we will showcase how collaboration between NAWO, PATH4 Graduates and industry partners is creating new solutions to building the female talent pipeline.

We will also introduce ‘Digital Apprenticeships’, an Industry 4.0 higher apprenticeship pilot program with Swinburne University.

Guest Speakers:
Tania Montesin, Regional Manufacturing Operations Manager, Asahi Beverages
Nicole Reynolds, National Business Partner – PATH4 Graduates
