For the first time, NAWO in partnership with our Gold member – BHP, is coming to the Pilbara to host a roadshow. Open to NAWO members and the Port Hedland and Newman communities, attendees will:

  1. Hear from speakers with expertise in achieving unexpected career moves and
  2. Participate in an interactive workshop designed to help use past professional experience to leverage future career opportunities.

Michelle Cowan Senior Coach, Fremantle Dockers Women’s will give insight into her incredible career story and success against the odds. From being the only girl in the locker room to the only girl in the boardroom, Michelle’s story will inspire you to achieve your goals with grit and groove.

In this session, you will learn about the 4 P’s – Passion, Plan, People, Powerful.

Aileen Armstrong, Managing Director, Achieving Synergy and NAWO WA State Committee member, will run her renowned ‘Pivot’ workshop.

Drawing inspiration from the bestselling book Pivot by Jenny Blake, Aileen will run a highly interactive workshop for those wanting to be proactive with their career and are open to new ways of determining their next best move.

No matter where you are in your career, life stage or seniority, we need to navigate changes much more often than we had to in the past.  Our environment, economy and businesses are changing quickly and so are our roles.

Using the successful four step ‘Pivot Cycle’ – Plant, Scan, Plot, Launch, you will examine your career to date and the strengths that can be leveraged to determine your next move.
