SuperDaughter Day – 2019

Please support WORK180’s SuperDaughter Day and give young girls access to STEM

SuperDaughter Day (SDD) is WORK180’s annual International Women’s Day event which introduces young girls to STEM in a fun and interactive way. Established in 2016, WORK180 wanted to make an impact on the career choices of girls and ultimately future generations of women.   SDD is now held throughout March in capital cities across Australia and in Auckland.  In 2019 the goal is to invite 3000 girls and their parents to explore STEM and understand the possibilities of a career in these fields.

SuperDaughter Day is 100% not-for-profit and every dollar counts towards making sure all girls have access to the SDD events.  NAWO is encouraging its Members to sponsor or donate to SDD to help ensure these events take place across Australia and in Auckland.

Please see the attached sponsorship proposal for information on corporate packages.  Alternatively if you would like to make a personal contribution WORK180 is partnering with the Smith Family to donate free tickets to girls from disadvantaged backgrounds.

For every $25 raised, a girl’s ticket can be covered.  Help girls realise their full potential here: https://gogetfunding.com/help-young-girls-realise-their-full-potential/

If you do donate this way – thank you! – and leave a message letting us know you are a NAWO Member.

Fascinating paper released by @CEWAus and @BainAlerts. It tells us that while most men (76%) are gender equality supporters, few (17%) prioritise taking action. Our latest podcast is about engaging the hearts & minds of men in gender balance. bit.ly/2Euh1yW pic.twitter.com/8nR4DX0BM6
