AMANDA BANFIELD

Area Vice President Japan, Australia and New Zealand Mondelēz International

Amanda Banfield leads the company’s Australian, New Zealand and Japan business, based in Melbourne, Australia.

Amanda has responsibility for approximately 2,500 employees across the three countries where Mondelēz International manufactures and distributes iconic chocolate, biscuit and candy brands including global Power brands such as Oreo and belVita biscuits; Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate; and local Australia, New Zealand and Japanese gems such as Cherry Ripe, Favourites, Moro, Freddo, The Natural Confectionary Company, Pascall and Clorets.

With more than 29 years with the company, Amanda has progressed through a number of marketing, strategy and general management country and regional roles. Prior to leading the JANZ business, Amanda was Vice President Marketing Services for Mondelēz International in Europe, having previously led Snacking and Marketing in Australia and New Zealand. Before this Amanda spent 20 years in the European business, based mainly in the UK, where she held various manufacturing, marketing and strategy roles, culminating in becoming the Strategy Director for Cadbury UKI.

Passionate about diversity, Amanda sponsors Mondelēz International’s regional Diversity and Inclusion Council.

Her broader leadership responsibilities include holding the positions of Deputy Chair of the Australian Food and Grocery Council, being a director on the Board of the Australian Association of National Advertisers and Brighton Grammar School and a member of the Victorian Premier’s Jobs & Investment Panel.

British by birth, Amanda is also proud to have become an Australian citizen and she and her family call Melbourne home. She holds MA degree from Oxford University.
