General Manager Retail, BP Australia Pty Ltd

Amanda is currently the General Manager Retail at BP Australia Pty Ltd. She is responsible for the performance of 343 company owned and operated petrol and convenience retail sites, with over 3500 employees.

Prior to joining BP, Amanda commenced her career as a primary school teacher and spent time both in Australia and Japan teaching. On her return to Australia, she changed career and ventured into retail where she held a number of leadership roles in hospitality, franchising and fashion including: Qld Operations Manager – responsible for training and business development of a network of franchise operations; Product Development Manager responsible for the development of two bakery/café offers; and National Operations Manager for a fashion retailer.

She joined BP in 1999 and has held a variety of roles across many parts of the organisation including Innovation and Offer Development Manager, Foodservice Manager, Customer Service and Sales Director and Retail Operations Excellence Manager.

Amanda is a results oriented leader who has an extensive proven track record for achieving financial and business objectives. This has been accomplished through a mix of business experience, planning, commitment, enthusiasm and strong leadership. Her passion and energy for sales and marketing, along with leading people and a focus on strong partnerships ensures she delivers value.

Outside of work, Amanda’s husband Julian and her 3 children aged 9 through 13 enjoy making the most of the outdoors.
