Anna Dartnell is the General Manager of Aurizon’s Iron Ore and Central Bulk Operations in Western Australia. She is a proven operational leader who has built her career in a range of “nontraditional” industries.

Anna began her working life in the field of Industrial Relations and Organisational Effectiveness in the WA mining sector, before moving to develop industry-leading expertise in supply chain management and operational excellence, within some of Australia’s most iconic manufacturing and distribution businesses on the East Coast. She’s described as an authentic operational leader, who brings a unique mix of relationship,process and commercial skills, combined with broad industry experience spanning Mining, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Transport (Road, Port & Rail), Logistics, and Professional Services.

In addition to her role with NAWO, Anna is a Non-Executive Director with the Kimberley Ports Authority and Brightwater Care Group Ltd, and Chair of the Board at Spare Parts Puppet Theatre. In 2017 she was selected as a Telstra Business Women’s Awards finalist. She has also been named in the WA Business News 40Under40 award winners and was the 2013 recipient of the University of Western Australia Strategic Alliance Award. She’s a passionate advocate for gender diversity in operational industries and an active mother of two fantastic kids.
