The tool investigates 75 criteria grouped into 5 categories:

Responses to the self assessment are aggregated and identify an overall rating against each of the diversity criteria, according to the following rating system:
1 STARTER – less than 20% of the time this is true across all our people, teams, events, processes
2 EMERGING – 21-40% true
3 EVOLVING – 41-60% true
4 MATURING – 61-80% true
5 ADVANCED – more than 81% true
The Gender Diversity Assessment Tool summarises actions and insights and these are converted to an Action Plan by the organisation, and signed off by the most senior executive. Improvement targets for subsequent years can be built in, based on the results of the 1st assessment.
