Career Management in Turbulent Times

PRELIMINARY NOTICE - Explore 'Career Management in Turbulent Times' through the lens of being strategically opportunistic with our career decision making. Discuss what this can look like from both an individual and an organisational/leader's perspective.

Through the ups and downs of the resources cycle, WA’s economy has experienced boom and near bust times across the last century. Our more recent history has seen us go from the highlights of 2010 & 11, to the rollercoaster that was 2014 & 15.

As we enter FY17, many people are wondering “what comes next?” and some are pondering how they can possibly take control of their careers in an environment that seems so unpredictable.

Join NAWO as we explore Career Management in Turbulent Times. We will challenge ourselves to be Strategically Opportunistic with career decision-making, learning from the experiences of an All Star group of talented leaders, including:

Dr. Vanessa Guthrie Managing Director of Toro Energy

Fiona Harris Experienced Non-Executive Director

Mary Hackett Regional Director ANZ and Operations Leaders APAC for GE Oil & Gas

Peter Metcalfe Director of Upstream External Affairs for BP Australia

This event will investigate career management from both an individual and organisational perspective, empowering each of us with the knowledge and skills to take control of our careers – regardless of the economy.
