Courage & Confidence – Inspiration from Elite Sport

“The message I’d like to give girls with any kind of dream going into sport is to always have confidence in yourself” – Michelle Payne

We understand that the range of perspectives that result from having a diverse and inclusive workplace will strengthen BlueScope’s capability for continued and sustained business success. A diverse and inclusive workplace will ensure that we have a better business, a better place to work, and a better future for all of us, our customers and our communities.”

Courtesy of BlueScope, NAWO is excited to announce our next Melbourne event will feature a world class team of Olympic, Paralympic and elite athletes from a number of our Australian Sports talking on the topic of Courage and Confidence.

Every day these elite athletes push and test themselves to achieve world class athletic achievements. With each step of their journey, they are continually challenging their personal courage and confidence. This is your chance to get up close and personal with them to hear their stories and learn how their lessons in being courageous and confident in sport can be applied in the workplace.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Katie Kelly, Gold medallist, Rio Paralympics 2016

Not one to let her disability get in the way of her passions, Katie has run major marathon events and ocean swims around the world including the Port Macquarie Ironman, Alice Springs Marathon as well as the New York Marathon.

Katie recently competed in the Rio Paralympics for Australia in the triathlon and through sheer determination and passion bought home Australia’s first para-triathlete gold medal. (Photo courtesy of Katie Kelly Facebook page)
