Having the courage to grasp an opportunity when it presents can make the difference between a mediocre day/job/career and an extraordinary one.
But what is the secret to developing this courage?
Don’t miss NAWO QLD’s next Quick Bite, generously hosted by Caltex Manufacturing, to hear the inspiring Penny Winn – Non-executive Director of Caltex, Chairman of Port Waratah Coal Services Ltd, Director of CSR Limited, and Director of Goodman Limited and Goodman Funds Management Limited – share her journey along the road less travelled and how she dared to say ‘yes’!
Delving into 30+ years of experience in retail and management, in Australia and internationally, Penny will discuss:
Opportunities – those taken, those missed and how one opportunity can be the difference between extraordinary and mediocre.
Courage – to pursue your passion, look ridiculous, or give something a try – what’s the worst that can happen?
Saying ‘yes’ when your initial instinct is to say ‘no’ and never passing up a genuine opportunity
Her secret to a successful career so that you too, can be extraordinary – earning, learning and having fun!
