Think you have long lead times when you run out of stock?
Consider the lead time that goes into producing your favourite bottle of wine – from careful management of the fermenting process through to positioning the finished product to maximise appeal to both local and overseas markets! But while more and more manufacturers are moving operations overseas, Australia’s wine industry continues to boom. Australian wine is now our fourth largest export industry.
Join us to hear from three very successful women who help make this happen.
McWilliam’s Wines planted its first vines in 1877 in Corowa and in 1913 J.J.McWilliam carted 50,000 vines to the Riverina, pioneering the wine industry in the region. In 2010, the Wine & Spirits Survey ranked McWilliam’s as the number one Australian wine brand in restaurants across the United States of America. Today, the business exports more than half a million cases of wine each year and boasts many distinguished awards.
Monica Considine, McWilliam’s Wines Supply Chain Director, has experienced a multi-industry career journey that lead to her current role in the dynamic wine industry. Benefit from her experience as she shares key learnings on cutting through the trials of different industries to achieve both her personal goals and the aims of the business.
Amy Hodgson, McWilliam’s Wines Brand & Range Development Manager, will reflect on how she managed her career to achieve her current multi-faceted role.
Namrata Makkar, McWilliam’s Wines Finished Goods Manager, will take us through her career journey, and the challenges that she faces in an environment with extremely long lead times.
This Quick Bites event will include a site tour and the opportunity to network with refreshments. (PLACES ARE LIMITED)
