Few professions invoke the expectation of integrity, morality and principles more than security. Interestingly, these are also key attributes of authentic leaders, along with the ability to stay true to their own beliefs.

So what does it take to get to the top of the field in this challenging profession… and what can we learn about authentic leadership from those who do make it?

Don’t miss this exciting event, generously hosted by Australia Post, featuring three guest speakers with extensive experience in the security space, shining a spotlight on what authentic leadership means to them and how they have navigated successful careers in this space.

Commander Amanda Kates, Australian Federal Police – Amanda is in her 29th year of policing with the Australian Federal Police (AFP) and has leadership and management experience in community, national, and international policing. Amanda was promoted to Commander in 2017.

John Yates, QPM, Director of Security, Scentre Group (previously encompassing Westfield) – John joined Westfield in November 2013 in a newly created role as Director of Security after retiring from a 30-year career with the Metropolitan Police (Scotland Yard). He held some of the most senior positions in UK policing, including being the UK’s most senior counter terrorism officer and senior advisor to the Prime Minister and Home Secretary on all law enforcement related security matters.

Kevin Zuccato, General Manager, Group Security, Australia Post – Kevin is responsible for managing security risks across the Australia Post Group retail and operations network, working closely with law enforcement and intelligence agencies, public and private sectors to keep customers, employees and community secure.
