Taking Control of Conversations

PRELIMINARY NOTICE - Explore 'Career Management in Turbulent Times' through the lens of being strategically opportunistic with our career decision making. Discuss what this can look like from both an individual and an organisational/leader's perspective.

Have you ever had a conversation with someone in authority and walked away saying to yourself,  “What was all that about?”  You could smell a rat but you just couldn’t find it. You felt there was something wrong with you, so you’d better just “shut up”.

If you have ever been that person who silenced yourself in the face of disagreement and authority, then this session is for you.

The NSW organising committee invite you to the next NAWO professional development event to be hosted by Asahi Schweppes.

Hear from two very successful women who will share their knowledge and experience on developing skills in negotiating and influencing to be successful in an operational career or business.

Tracey Wagner L&CO General Manager Asahi Beverages

Kylie Fraser CEO BevFreight

This will be followed by a skill-building session by Jennifer Elliot, Managing Director of Integrity and Values. Learning Outcomes:

  • You’ll be able to influence key stakeholders with authority
  • There are meta messages inside of conversations. You will be able to assert yourself when this game is being played on you
  • How to be present when presenting
  • Learn to slow everything down so that you can get a handle on what’s really happening

Jennifer Elliot CEO Integrity and Values

This discussion will give you practical tools that you can use immediately, and for the rest of your life.
