Manager Speed Service, Express Post Network, Parcel Operations, Australia Post
Peggy started with Australia Post in 1993, as a night sorter while studying at university to pay her way. 25 years later she is still there.
A few years after finishing her studies and commencing with AP, Peggy was selected as a Victorian representative to join a group of 100 participants from around Australia to attended a forum for future Young Leaders of Australia, sponsored by the Queen’s Trust. The theme was to “To help shape the future leaders of Australia”.
Over the years, Peggy has managed a number of AP's operational facilities in both metro and regional Victoria, as well as participated in a number of operational traineeships and management programs. In the last 5 years, she has managed the national Express Post network.
Peggy is also a long standing NAWO VIC committee member. Over the past 4 years, she has helped coordinate a number of events and has a keen interest in sharing her passion of helping other women grow in their own individual way.
In her spare time, she volunteers on a number of community groups, i.e. Down Syndrome Australia and Summer Rose Foundation, assisting and coordinating awareness events for children with special needs.
Peggy grew up in the Western suburbs of Melbourne and attended school there. Against great odds, she worked her way to study business management at Melbourne University. Along with her husband, Geoffrey, they have one teenage daughter. Working full time, she manages the daily chaos of juggling looking after her family, spending quality time, checking in with her elderly father and catching up with fabulous friends.
In a nutshell, she lives a life similar to ‘My big fat Greek Wedding’, loving family, food, and non-stop fun - OPA!!
