Inspiring commercial acumen

Learning to reap the rewards of commercial acumen

Every number tells a story. And your ability to tell that story could make, or break, your career.

Commercial acumen is recognised as a core leadership skill – a leader with great business acumen can increase efficiency across entire teams, departments, and even organisations. Yet many employers find their graduates are lacking in this critical skill. It can also be the ‘missing link’ for women striving to break through middle management to the executive level.

This workshop could be your key to a new future!

Course Overview

‘Metrics that Matter’ is a one-day workshop designed to support you if:

  • you know how to read the numbers, but you don’t know how to tell the story;
  • you have to work hard to understand the numbers;
  • you work on the spending side of the business, not the revenue side of the business.

Learn the behaviours required to lead yourself and others for results.

Workshop case studies to define and understand the behaviours needed to create high performance teams, and to better understand your role in the organisational value chain.

Learn the four key financial statements and their importance in business and how to analyse these statements.

Participate in honest self-assessment to identify further professional learning opportunities.

Today’s operational businesses need leaders, managers and employees who can directly contribute to the achievement of their company’s goals and objectives by making the right decisions using their instinct and acumen.

This engaging, interactive workshop will equip you with the fundamental business acumen needed to take your career to the next level!
