Robert was born and raised in Adelaide. He is a first generation Australian, his parents migrating from Southern Italy in the mid 1960’s.
Robert completed his high school studies in 1989 and is a graduate of Norwood High School.
He entered university studies at the University of SA, where he studied a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Accounting and completed his CPA studies prior to entering the workforce.
Robert’s finance career commenced with SA Water in 1993, where he was allocated to the Eyre Region, living in Port Lincoln. A three year stint with the Adelaide City Council followed specialising in Management Accounting and reporting.
In 1998, Robert was keen to explore opportunities in the private sector and was successful in securing a cost accounting role with Mitsubishi Motors at Tonsley Park. It was only a short stay due to an exciting opportunity on offer in the wine industry.
Robert commenced working for Orlando Wines (now Pernod Ricard Winemakers) in 1998 as a Production Accountant. He has held various senior Finance roles in the organisation and eventually progressed to the operations side of the business and since September 2017, has managed the Australian Operations based at Rowland Flat.
Robert is married with 2 children and outside of work enjoys time away at his weekender down York Peninsula, fishing and visiting many of its secluded beaches. His other interests include trail running, cooking, history, and volunteering for the NE Metro Stars Soccer Club.
Robert is a Better Balance ambassador for Pernod Ricard Winemakers, an executive mentor for NAWO and an executive member of the South Australian Wine Industry Association.
