Winery Operations Manager Australia – Pernod Ricard Winemakers

Steven was born and raised in Perth, Scotland. Steven completed his high school studies in 1990 and is a graduate of Perth High School (Scotland).

He entered university studies at the Dundee University, where he studied Mechanical Engineering and graduated in 1994.

Steven’s career commenced with Allied Distillers (now Diageo) in Glasgow, Scotland in 1994, where he was part of the Engineering team. During Steven’s eight-year stint with Diageo he had several roles including production management.

In 2002, Steven was keen to explore other opportunities and joined Chivas Brothers Limited. Steven worked for Chivas for 4 years and during this time was part of their Engineering and Production teams.

Steven migrated to Adelaide in December 2006 and started with Orlando Wines (now Pernod Ricard Winemakers) as Packaging Manager in January 2007.

Steven has held several senior leadership roles within Pernod Ricard Winemakers Australia from, Packaging Operations Manager, Business Improvement Manager, National Technical Manager and his current role of Winery Operations Manager based at Rowland Flat which also manages Richmond Grove Winery in Tanunda.

Steven resides in the Barossa Valley with his partner Candice who has 2 young children. Steven has a daughter who is nearly 21.

Outside of work Steven enjoys time with the family, playing sport and convivial moments with family and friends. His other interests include keeping fit, golf, football (soccer), rugby, cooking & wine.
