TONY ROGERS

Supply Director, Diageo Australia

Tony Rogers transferred from Scotland to Sydney to join Diageo’s Australian Executive team in February 2017 and is responsible for all aspects of Diageo’s manufacturing and supply chain operations in Australia including facilities. This includes oversight of the Bundaberg Distillery in Queensland and Diageo’s bottling plant at Huntingwood in Western Sydney.

Tony is a highly experienced supply chain and technical leader who has been with Diageo for more than 30 years. In that time, Tony has worked in various local, regional and global roles across London, Scotland, Singapore, Australia and Panama.

Tony started his career with Diageo (then Guinness) as a microbiologist before moving in to new product development and innovation. In 2006, Tony and his family moved to Singapore where he held a number of senior commercialisation and governance roles, including a short stint as Supply Director for the Australian business.

After a year as Technical Director for Diageo’s Latin American business, Tony and his family returned to Scotland where he became Global Governance Director with accountability for safety, quality, occupational health and risk management.

This role focused on driving performance improvement and overall risk reduction for Diageo through a program of standardisation, codification and capability building. Under Tony’s leadership, Diageo achieved its 2020 safety target some three years ahead of plan and reached category-leading brand quality.

Tony is married and has three adult daughters. He is based in Sydney.
