Financial Controller, Webster Ltd
Born and bred locally in Leeton, Tracey is the eldest of four children. She attended St Josephs and St Francis College, Leeton and then St Josephs, Albury.
Tracey has a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Accounting and Tourism Management. She is a CPA and has completed post graduate studies in Local Government and, more recently, the Advanced Certificate in Rural Leadership from Cook University.
Tracey’s current role is Financial Controller for Webster Ltd, a publicly listed company which has a large portfolio in agriculture, owning 90% of Australian Walnut industry, more than 35 000 irrigable hectares and a water portfolio of over 200 000 megalitres.
Tracey’s previous role was Financial Accountant for De Bortoli Wines. In this role, she was awarded the Australian Wine Industry Scholarship which involved completing the Australian Rural Leadership Program, of which she is a graduand.
Tracey is a second term Councillor on Leeton Shire Councillor and chairs the Council Audit Committee and Council representative on many shire committees. Tracey is passionate about agriculture as it is the life blood of regional Australia, comprising many innovative businesses and agribusinesses with resilient, creative and hardworking people.
On a personal level, Tracey is married with four sons. They own citrus farms and vineyards, and live on their farm at Wamoon. She finds it important to exercise to keep fit and healthy. One of the more memorable moments was running the Great Wall of China marathon to celebrate her 50th birthday. Most importantly, she believes in giving back to your community whenever possible.
Tracey believes in living life to the fullest. Her only concern is that there are only 24 hours in a day, and there are so many great things to be a part of. She lives by: “No one makes it happen, it has to come from within you.” “No one ever fails by having a go!!! ”
